WHAT IS IT?
It is a future event in which believers will be 'caught up in the clouds' to meet the Lord in the air. ​

The occurrence & timing of the Rapture is widely debated with different perspectives but the focus of believers should be on being ready.

Jesus said in Luke 21:36 to 'Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man'

BIBLICAL VIEW
Before the flood occurred in the Book of Genesis, God preserved the family of Noah in the ark
Paul refers to the Rapture as a 'mystery'
Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 5:9 'For God hath not appointed us to wrath'. (Tribulation)
CHRIST VIEW
Jesus refers to the time before the flood in Noah's time and how people were enjoying life until the flood came.
Our eternal residence is in the new Earth. Jesus said He was going to prepare a place for us in Heaven - temporal stay.
