Sri Lanka - Reset

1 Jul 2022

Can such a crisis happen in other third -world nations? Understanding the surrounding factors that lead to such crisis is critical in the last days.

If you are following the developments in Sri Lanka, you might wonder about such possibilities taking place in a modern world where countries are 'democratic' (whether flawed, liberal or illiberal is another debate).

The fall of the Sri Lankan economy, the ousting and fleeing of its President and the people storming the Presidential palace might make for good headlines but these events don't happen overnight. There will always be a strategic, well-controlled series of events that lead to such jolts.

Mainstream news outlets will only peddle the repetitive elements of fear, uncertainty and anxiety in order to keep you hooked to the fleeting 'fearbytes'. They will not present to you a coherent and critical analyses of what actually is happening behind the headline or 'broken news'. And to make it entertaining, you have the U.S Secretary of State hoodwinking you to think that Russia has perhaps had an influence in the crisis in Sri Lanka.

The fertilizer ban that the former President Gotabaya had set in place last year already kick started the revolution of the people along with the other global factors that led the citizens taking to the streets and storming the Presidential Palace in the first weeks of July.

A tiny island nation dependant on tourism and agricultural products coming out from the global effects of the pandemic, and in a world bogged by high inflation and supply chain crisis, one would wonder about the absurdity of such a ban on fertilizing without seeing through its consequences?

Perhaps the involvement of the Gates Foundation may have something to do with it as it was offering its help to develop a Farmer Data Management Systems and Digital Strategy of Sri Lankan Agriculture?

Guided by the belief that every life has equal value, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation works to help all people lead healthy, productive lives.
In developing countries, it focuses on improving people’s health and giving them the chance to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty.

If a noble mission has only caused untold suffering and the destruction of an economy then it should certainly make you think about the consequences if such a Foundation goes about offering their help in other South Asian and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The foundation has spent over $5 billion since 2009 in total commitments to agricultural development to support the needs of smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia (BMGF)

Think about the connections and the causes and evaluate whether there is something strategically sinister about all that is happening beneath the surface and leading to the end times. If a Foundation with such a mission has gone around South Asian nations injected their stated goals, then the type of Reset that occurred in Sri Lanka will soon follow suit.

If the Great Reset started with the lockdown of the pandemic, Sri Lanka has been their first victory. Now, it's a matter of time before the others are also reset.
