India's Pride

The recently concluded Pride Month that celebrated the recognition of rights of the LGBTQI2A communities around the world had its Indian equivalent with Pride marches taking place in different cities. This movement has been gaining momentum across the sub-continent for over 25 years.

The proliferation of social media platforms over the past decade has given unrestricted access to a plethora of thoughts, lifestyles, ideologies and information, to these young minds seated all across the country. In the name of freedom of expression and recognition of rights, everything that can be included is being included.

While there is a known historic marginalization of the 'hijra' community in the country, one might wonder how many in such crowds are actually using the 'hijra' community as cover to blanket wrap their gender preferences? What could be even more disconcerting is how many amongst these teeming crowds are just exploring or experimenting with this alternate lifestyle without necessarily understanding its impact on their minds and the society at large.

There are stories of Indian parents reluctantly, hesitantly or openly giving in to their children's new found gender identity. In a country with a very conservative social pedigree, one can see how the New World Order is erasing the strongholds of such conservative outlooks.

Of course there are those who are suffering with these issues personally and out of fear are being made a pariah in their families but these people need to find help in the right setting and not in the mass movements of such marches, which will have more long-term consequences.

The influence of globalization - whether under the garb of the Internet or the New World Order - has certainly been a strong driving force in these young minds 'fighting' for their 'suppressed' right.

A nation where 500 million or more young minds are being conditioned to the magnetic pull of the New World Order is no longer alarming in the least. And the consequences of such a conditioning on the next generation might will have an adverse impact on the health of societies.

While the country might have decriminalized homosexuality, there are still sections of the society who don't necessarily agree with the direction in which this heading. If the most powerful institution in the land can do such a thing, then who is to say what is stopping them from giving them more rights ranging from marriage to adoption?

If the current events of the world and the changes taking place are affecting you in many ways but you are indecisive and unable to take a stand, take the first step by believing that these events were already proclaimed in the Bible.

Your hope is in the living God who is in command and who sent His son - Jesus Christ to give you eternal life by dying for your sins. Believe in Him and be at peace and the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom to discern and decide.
